Crime Report: Patrasys Scam robs Ethos of £7,284.07 without rhyme, reason nor recourse!

Crime Report Update: Patrasys Scam - September 2009

We were very highly amused to see that we have gained a mention in Patrasys's latest new release on their website...

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PATRASYS

PATRASYS have recently noticed that there are individuals who are going around different Internet forums stating that Patrasys is a scam. This is wholely inaccurate information and the reasons for this are listed below: Patrasys clearly state that if a website is involved in selling illegal goods or products which are clearly listed in our terms and conditions, we will have no option but to suspend thier accounts.

We can confidently state that there is NOT a single legit merchant, who has followed our terms and conditions of trade that can complain that we have not honoured our terms of the agreement. All the negative reviews about Patrasys have been written by some of these fraudulent merchants who have been stopped from using our services for some of the following reasons:

Individual 1: Leethacks.com

Was discovered to be involved in credit card number generation and theft.

Individual 2: http://www.ethos.eu

Merchant was selling unlicensed medication, and sold this in bottles with no labels or any medical license. This was after we carried out a secret shopper exercise. Merchant was given 28 days to provide medical license or proof the products were legit and never provided this information. Their account was closed as a result of no response from merchant having been received after 45 days. An investigation was launched with the MRHA - http://www.mhra.gov.uk.

Individual 3:

Taking payments via Patrasys and not delivering goods to the card holders. This was after the merchant assured Patrasys that the goods had been delivered. Customers subsequently complained about non delivery of goods and Patrasys suspended the account after merchant continuously verbally abused and threatened to attack a member of staff.

Individual 4:

Accepting card payments for accomodation in Lamanga Spain that would only be available after 6 to 8 months. This was against our terms and conditions and we proceeded to suspend the account. We agreed to pay merchant only after the holiday accomodation was provided. Merchant proceeded to write negative comments about Patrasys.

Individual 5:

Selling worthless ineffective viagra tablets

Conclusion:

Patrasys is a legit company and we have a very large number of very happy customers. We have counted less than 10 total complaints on the internet to date of which most of these complaints are unfounded. We offer a service second to none and have implemented measures to ensure that this does not happen again. If you have any questions, please contact Patrasys by sending information to riskassesment@patrasys.com and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have. For all our customer using Patrasys, we will continue to ensure that we promote their business and keep them happy with the service we offer.

IMPORTANT RESPONSE FROM ETHOS

I have personally spoken with the people cited above and they are in exactly the same boat as us. They started using Patrasys, in good faith, exactly the same as we did, based on what they state on their website... but then never received any money!

They are genuine hard working people who Patrysys took it upon themselves to steal their money.

But there is something that puzzles me - how do they decide which customers monies to keep and which customers monies to let them have.

mmmmm...I smell some sort of rat here... As they state, they have hundreds of customers, but they say that there are currently only ten people complaining about them on the internet who they have chosen to victimise in this way.

That begs the question what is the common denominator?

We sell eye drops that dissolve cataracts without the need for invasive surgery (ethos.ag) and we already know from experience that 'The Powers That Be' do not like this as cataracts surgery is a massive business and they do not want anything encroaching on it.

I met with Professor John Mrshall at St. Thomas's Hospital in London, along with Professor Gallant, back in 2004, just after we had been featured on the Richard & Judy Chat Show.

We showed him our eye drops and explained what they did and showed him the medical research papers and trials to back everything up, exactly the same as the information that we submitted to Patrasys after they requested it but which they now deny ever receiving.

He paused for a while, then said "Whatever you do, don't promote these in Europe as I have a one and a half million pound a year cataracts business - go sell them in Africa or India". And that was the end of our meeting.

A 14 year old boy with cataracts in the States summed up the situation perfectly - referring to his eye specialists reluctance to allow him to use our eye drops. He said, "Well, I guess I can understand, it would be like asking Turkeys to vote for Thanksgiving..."

In 2004 we did our first £1 million worth of sales of these eye drops - all sold with an unconditional money-back guarantee - surely if they did not work as advertised we would have been out of business as soon as everyone claimed all of their money back!

Above, referring to 'Individual 5', they state that he was selling "ineffective viagra tablets" - Does this mean that they purchased the said tablets and took them home and tested them out on their wives and girlfriends and found them to be ineffective..?

What authority have a payment processing company got to ascertain the effectiveness of eye drops for cataracts or tablets for erectile dysfunction?

If they stated that we had the products tested by XYZ Laboratories and found.................., then that might carry some weight but they have no authority or medical expertise whatsoever, not even a very good command of the English language for such a 'Legit' company.

If they stated that they sent a sample of our eye drops to ZYZ testing laboratories and found that they weren't sterile... or it was found that they did not contain the correct amounts of the ingredients as listed, and published the evidence as proof then we could obviously understand thier concern. But we know that the drops are sterile and contain exactly the right amounts of each ingredient as listed on the box as we do test them.

But they just took £7,284.07 from our customers and kept it! Where is that money now..? Maybe they are using it all to buy themselves some real Phizer's viagra now to look after their wives and girlfriends properly... lol

They also mention that an investion was launched with the MHRA - what they failed to mention was that was back in 2004! lol Check with Jane Cole at the Borderline Products section of the MHRA and she will confirm that they are familiar with our products since 2004.

While casting aspertions, I would suggest that taking money that does not belong to you and keeping it is tantamount to THEFT! Surely theft is still illegal..?

And, honestly, what legitimate company publishes a press release saying, "we are legit"... honest guv... so far there's only ten people who say we aren't so we must be... How many more people are there out there who haven't managed to voice their concerns, or have only been ripped of for a few hundred pounds and not thousands like the ones cited above? This is the big question that should be asked!

What goes around comes around and I know for a fact that they will ultimately loose out in the long-term... the universe has an uncanny knack of righting wrongs!

So, if you are looking for a merchant account, my personal advice is to use any other one you can find apart from Patrasys!

All the best

Pete...
